About Josie

Josie McSkimming
BSW(Hons) Grad Cert Clin Hyp MAASW(Acc)

Josie has a Bachelor in Social Work with First Class Honours from the University of NSW where she was awarded the University Medal.

She has completed extensive post-graduate training in counselling including a year at the Institute of Emotionally Focussed Therapy in Annandale and many workshops in Narrative Therapy at the Dulwich Centre in Adelaide.

She also has completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis, supervised by Dr Alan Fahey of Westmead Hospital. She is currently completing a PhD at the University of NSW into identity change during the process of disaffiliation from fundamentalist religion.

She is a fully accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
